'MALELA JEEV' (Gujarati) AND 'CHITRAPRIYA '(Tamil)- A COMPARATIVE STUDY
abstract
This is
comparative study to examine the feeling of love expressed in the eminent
regional Gujarati novelist Pannalal Patel's - "malela jeev" and the
epoch - making Tamil novelist P.V Akhilandam's grand culture -saga
"chitrapriya" . The feeling of noble love is at the centre of Indian
culture pervading its flavour. It is interesting to study the reflection of it
in two different languages. Since the two novels belong to different time and
place, to know the peculiar world's delightful.
In
'malela Jeev'- Kanji and jivi's test of love in excellently incarnated , while
'chitrapriya's protogonist annamallai's relationship with three
heroins.Anandi,Sundari and Sharda introduces the ennobling love. The main
objective here is to explore and exhibit the glory of pure love that becomes
the part of two novels.
